Harddsik kapasitas 3TB akan segera diluncurkan tahun depan. Tepatnya bulan April tahun 2010, sesuai janji CEO perusahaan Drobo yang akan menggunakan harddisk Western Digital.
Saat ini Western Digital telah merilis harddsik dengan kapasitas 2TB. Kapasitas harddsik besar sangat dibutuhkan oleh pekerja IT yang terjun di bidang desain, terutama desain 3D dan para kolektor film dengan resolusi HD maupun bluray.

He says that Drobos will be offering a 3TB drive by April 2010. Drobo uses Western Digital drives, so there’s a good chance that it could mean that Western Digital will be outing some 3TB drives of their own very soon.
Currently Western Digital offers a 2TB Caviar Black 3.5-inch SATA drive. A 3TB, 4-platter drive would need 750GB per platter - a 50 per cent increase over what the Caviar Black has.
With 1TB and 1.5TB drives becoming more popular, it will be nice to make the jump to 3TB. That’s a lot of data! (register)
